Salary: £25,673.65 per annum, plus 10% night shift allowance
Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 2 weeks rolling rota — Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday;
Week 2:
Wednesday and Thursday

About the roleThe Night Assistant works across a defined geographical area to assist in the delivery of a high-quality support, security and housing service to the clients of our supported schemes.
Responsibilities- Have an awareness of the client groups support needs, and contribute as directed to the delivery of their agreed outcomes.
- Implement night security systems, ensuring overall safety and security of the scheme.
- Meet the requirements of health and safety policies and practices.
- Effectively deal with anti-social behaviour.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness within schemes, preparation of rooms and site inspections.
- Accurately record information including updates to the Support database and Housing Management database.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective service delivery.
- Consider culture and diversity issues across the client group and tackle any forms of discrimination, adhering to equality and diversity procedures.
- Promote and encourage a high level of client involvement, consultation and communication.
- Assist service users with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent and other scheme requirements.
- Use IT systems appropriately.
- Respond to faults as discovered.
- Ensure a warm welcome and maintain inviting reception areas as per the Psychologically Informed Environment standards.
- Contribute to stock control, purchasing and storage of consumables required by the service.
- Provide administrative support to the Housing Team and Service Managers.
- Understand your role in the organisation and be accountable for contributing to profitability and delivering it efficiently.
- Ensure your efforts are client-led and lead to positive and tangible outcomes.
- Adhere to Riverside s corporate policies and procedures.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team of housing and support staff, adhering to a rota system within a defined geography (small group of schemes).
- Participate in team meetings, training events and regular supervisions as appropriate.
- Assist colleagues in meeting key performance indicators (e.g., voids, arrears, and outcome targets).
- Adhere to equality and diversity policies in all aspects of service delivery.
- Assist housing team colleagues in delivering quality housing management.
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure the service promotes empowerment and independence.
- Ensure effective exchanges of information with team members and day staff.
- Reporting repairs to maintenance contractors using appropriate systems.
- Provide a high-quality, customer-oriented service.
- Review work outputs, set improvement targets and appraise individual performance.
- Participate in divisional team work and encourage innovation.
- Undertake personal development and training to keep up to date with legal, political, financial and other developments in housing and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with Riverside’s equality and diversity policy in employment and service delivery.
- Ensure data is compliant with legislation and policies relating to data quality.
- Actively promote Riverside locally.
- Support safeguarding policies and procedures in all aspects of service delivery.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the designated manager.

Essential
- Experience with working with vulnerable client groups.
- IT skills including basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and a willingness to learn Riverside-specific IT systems and complete relevant IT training where required.
