This role offers the opportunity to lead a new residential service in a vibrant community, dedicated to providing high-quality care and support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Children’s Home Registered Manager based in Gloucester, your daily duties will include:

  • Leading and motivating a dedicated team to deliver high standards of care and support for young people.
  • Ensuring the safety and safeguarding of children in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies.
  • Overseeing the operational management of the home, including compliance, staff development, and service quality.
  • Shaping a nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.
Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Children’s Home Registered Manager, you will need:

  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Children’s Services or equivalent (or willingness to undertake within six months).
  • Proven experience working with vulnerable children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of the statutory and regulatory environment for children’s homes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
