Overview
Raytheon UK have a full time, perm opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team on our Gloucester or Manchester sites.
As Senior Software Engineer, you'll be part of our experienced software dev function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas.
This role requires all candidates to eligible and willing to proceed for SC clearance and eDV clearance.
This area of the business proves Dev Sec Ops at scale, with capabilities in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cyber and geospatial intelligence to support the defence, intelligence and cyber sectors. The team collaborates with customers and suppliers to deliver secure, mission critical systems using the latest technologies and innovations.
Responsibilities- Design and build software using industry best practice
- Collaborate with stakeholders and other engineers
- Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with your project
- Contribute to continuous improvement within your team
- Collaborate with your peers on technical direction within your team
- Experience of working in an Agile delivery team
- Cloud services (AWS or Azure)
- Containerisation and Orchestration (Docker / Kubernetes / Openshift)
- Elasticsearch/Open search
- Relational Databases (e.g. Postgre
SQL) - Golang / JavaScript / Type Script
- JavaScript frameworks - React, NextJS
- REST API development
- Use of Code repositories, familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests and merge processes
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible)
- Python
- OpenAPI/Swagger
- Testing experience (e.g. Mocha, Jest)

Work Culture
