An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Software Developer to join a specialist engineering team delivering secure, high-performance backend software for mission-critical programmes. Working within Linux environments, you'll help design and develop scalable Java and C++ applications while providing technical leadership across the software development lifecycle.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring others, and contributing to the design of secure, enterprise-scale systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, developing and maintaining high-performance backend software using Java and C++.
• Leading the technical design and implementation of software components, APIs and services.
• Building secure, scalable and maintainable applications within Linux environments.
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Contributing to software architecture, technical strategy and engineering roadmaps.
