Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to support the safe and reliable transportation of equipment and stock to venues and sites across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities of a Class 1 HGV Driver

* Drive Class 1 vehicles to deliver and collect equipment and stock.

* Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.

* Load and unload vehicles safely in line with procedures.

* Complete pre-use vehicle checks and record inspections accurately.

* Ensure compliance with road traffic laws and safety regulations.

* Maintain delivery and collection records using digital systems.

* Assist with equipment set-up and breakdown when required.

* Provide a professional and customer-focused delivery service.

* Drive alternative company vehicles when operationally required.

* Work flexible hours, including early starts, weekends, and nights away.

Key Skills of a Class 1 HGV Driver

* Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with a clean record.

* Minimum of 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience.

* Valid Driver CPC.

* Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.

* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.

* High attention to detail with accurate paperwork completion.

* Confident using mobile or app-based systems.

* Good communication and customer service skills.

* Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach.
