Parcel Courier Times:
6am /7am / 8am / 9am starts available - duration approx. 10h per shift depending on location and numbers of drops. Part time can be considered for the right individual.
Days:x5 days of your choice per week e.g. Mon
- Fri / Tues
- Sat / Weds
- Sun / Thurs
- Mon / Friday
- Tues / Sat
- Weds / Sun
- Thurs. Throughout December, this will increase to x6 days per week.
- Rate: £135 day rate = £675 per week = £2,925 per month avg. = £35,100 per year
- A van provided if taken permanent (you must use your own vehicle to start with)
- Fuel card with fuel available at approximately 50p per litre cheaper than standard pump prices.
- Company uniform
- A full driving license with no more than 6 points.
- Access to your own van (preferred) or car until January 2027, after which point, a van might be provided for you by the employer.
- A smartphone with the ability to download an app, and working camera
- Right to work in the UK.
- Steel toe cap boots.
- High vis jacket / vest.
- Own Hire and Reward insurance.
- Own Goods in Transit insurance.
- Own Personal liability insurance.
- Loading and unloading your own van each morning.
- Collecting and delivering parcels within the required ETA and delivery windows.
- Delivering parcels safely and professionally to customers' homes across Gloucester, Cheltenham or Stroud.
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Completing any collections required throughout or at the end of your route.
- Using maps and navigation systems to efficiently complete your route.
- Using a mobile phone and delivery applications throughout the working day.
- You will initially begin work on an ongoing temporary basis through the agency, with the potential opportunity to become permanent from January 2027. At this point, the employer will arrange for a van to be leased or purchased for you
- The pay cycle is run every 4 weeks.
- The DBS check will be paid for by the candidate (circa £20) which will be reimbursed should the DBS comeback clear and the individual be able to start work.
- Many employees find it useful to carry their own power banks while out on routes, rather than relying on an in-vehicle charging cable. Given the nature of the work, devices are frequently taken in and out of the vehicle, making a portable power bank a more convenient and practical option
