HGV Class 2 Drivers – Days & Nights
Locations:
Gloucester, Cheltenham, Newent, Dursley, Cinderford and Tewkesbury
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temporary / Ongoing (depending on assignment)
The Role
We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category
C) Drivers for a variety of driving opportunities across Gloucestershire. With vacancies available in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Newent, Dursley, Cinderford and Tewkesbury, we have a range of positions to suit drivers looking for both day and night work.
Whether you are looking for an early start, a daytime driving role or night shifts, we have opportunities available across a variety of sectors, including local deliveries, multi-drop, palletised goods, trunking and general haulage, depending on the assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, professional drivers looking for flexible work, regular shifts and the potential for ongoing employment.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
* Complete deliveries and collections efficiently and professionally.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
* Ensure all delivery paperwork and relevant documentation are completed accurately.
* Maintain excellent customer service when dealing with customers and site staff.
* Comply with drivers' hours regulations and working time requirements.
* Ensure loads are transported safely and securely.
* Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and in good working order.
Requirements
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category
C) driving licence.
* Valid Driver CPC qualification.
* Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
* A professional attitude and a strong commitment to road safety.
* Good communication skills and a reliable approach to work.
* Previous HGV driving experience is preferred, although requirements may vary depending on the assignment.
* Flexibility to work days, nights or weekends where required.
