Stock Controller 6954

Location: Gloucestershire

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities of a Stock Controller
  • Manage and maintain accurate stock inventory across on-site and off-site warehouse locations.
  • Control the movement of stock, including goods in, internal transfers and customer order dispatch.
  • Carry out daily perpetual inventory (PI) counts to maintain stock accuracy.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly inventory and stock movement reports.
  • Maintain warehouse stock transfers using Sage.
  • Manage the Trackabout system to control returnable assets, stillages and pallet boxes.
  • Produce stock and traceability labels.
  • Liaise with Warehouse, Purchasing, Demand Planning and Customer Services teams.
  • Run zero-pick and quarantine stock investigations and meetings.
  • Assist with administrative duties and provide cover for Warehouse and Transport colleagues when required.
  • Deliver training where appropriate.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Health & Safety procedures.
Key Skills of a Stock Controller
  • Previous experience within a Stock Controller or Inventory Control role.
  • Experience using stock management systems such as Sage or Sicon would be advantageous.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock control processes.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
