An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an ambitious Audit Senior to join its team in Godalming.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified audit professional looking to take ownership of client engagements, develop leadership skills and work with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. What you will be doing as an Audit Supervisor- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Perform risk assessments and identify key audit areas
- Design and execute substantive testing and analytical review procedures
- Complete audit planning and fieldwork efficiently
- Review forecasts, budgets and sensitivity analysis where appropriate
- Challenge key assumptions and identify areas of audit risk
- Reassess risks throughout the audit lifecycle
- Prepare schedules of adjusted and unadjusted differences
- Complete audit documentation to a high standard
- Draft audit findings and completion reports for management review
- Prepare and review financial statements and associated audit reports
- Liaise with tax specialists regarding provisions, tax computations and returns
- Deliver audit files in a well-prepared condition with minimal review points
- Support, coach and develop Audit Semi‑Seniors and Junior staff
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent international qualification)
- Experience leading audit assignments within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of audit and financial reporting requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident interacting with clients and building professional relationships
- Motivated, proactive and able to work on your own initiative
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Positive team player with the ability to support and develop junior colleagues
