This is a permanent teaching role at a long-standing specialist school in the county. The school provides education to learners with moderate to severe SEN needs. Pupils are aged 11 to 19 and the school currently has 110+ pupils on roll. The school is committed to meeting the needs of every individual child through forward-thinking and dynamic teaching techniques. It combines a balanced curriculum that embraces both creativity and education.

Teachers are supported to deliver relevant, interactive and engaging lessons. The school has a Christian ethos and is recognised for offering a warm, welcoming and safe atmosphere. It operates as a family/community with an open-door policy from senior leadership.

Requirements
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
  • Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities
  • Providing engaging and interactive lessons
  • Communicating with parents and carers about pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
  • Planning and preparing all subjects within the current national curriculum
