Pay & Benefits
- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 basic per annum (tailored directly to your hands-on experience and technical skill level)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (100% WEEKEND FREEDOM with strictly zero weekend shifts required!)

Role OverviewSeeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / VAG Specialist to join our established independent garage and service centre team in Godalming. You will carry out routine servicing, complex mechanical repairs, timing chain/belt replacements, and systematic diagnostic troubleshooting using official ODIS software across VAG platforms and general customer vehicles to high industry standards.
Requirements- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with proven workshop experience on VAG platforms (Audi, VW, SEAT, Škoda)
- Solid foundational knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, routine maintenance, and mechanical repair
- Valid DVSA MOT Smart Card or F-Gas certification is advantageous, but not essential
- Full UK driving licence & own hand tools
- Base: Godalming, Surrey (Free secure on-site staff parking)
- Road Links: Strategic position directly served by key routes including the A3, A31, and A283 corridors, offering fast daily commutes across Surrey and Hampshire
- Public Transport: Excellent connections via Godalming and Milford mainline railway stations alongside regular regional bus routes
- Commutable From: Guildford, Farnham, Haslemere, Cranleigh, Woking, Aldershot, Milford, and surrounding local areas
