Materials Handler​/FLT Driver

Position: Materials Handler / FLT Driver
We are looking for an experienced Materials Handler/ FLT Driver to join Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds (LS11). Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology.

The Role has a variety of responsibilities to keep you busy throughout the day:
Your core duties will be loading and unloading of various types of distribution and power transformers utilising the overhead crane. Transporting and processing various materials across two sites using FLT and Company van Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related the role Quality inspection of colleagues output Maximise the uptime of operations by delivering materials in a timely manner Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems shortages or equipment breakdown Skills, Knowledge &

Experience:

Hands on experience of working within a manufacturing environment is essential Counter Balance FLT essential to 7 tonnes Full driving licence essential Overhead crane/lifting slinging experience is desirable

Experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is desirable . The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings is desirable Have good written and verbal communication skills

Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment Can do attitude with the ability to work unsupervised using own initiative Flexible approach with hours and a willingness to work across other areas of the business Good attention to detail Salary and benefits:
