Position Summary

General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart (USA)

Base pay range: $19.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Walmart is expanding its workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. If you have experience in this field, bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming environment.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and store associates, and document repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs and move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights and able to sit or stand for long periods.
• Able to work in various temperatures and hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

• Vocational or technical certification and 3 years experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
• License in related trade in the city/state where the job is located.
• Proficiency with intermediate level word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
