Factory Design Engineer; EU BV

FPS is a global leader in turn-key food processing solutions serving clients across five continents. Due to our rapid expansion, we currently have an immediate opening for an experienced Factory Design Engineer

• Facility layout and process flow design:
  Ability to design efficient layouts for food processing, packaging, and storage.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards:
  Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EU food safety regulations.
• CAD software proficiency:
  Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor for drafting and modeling.
• Utilities and infrastructure planning:
  Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, steam, water, and waste systems in food plants.
• Automation and control systems:
  Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and process control systems.
• Food processing technologies:
  Understanding of thermal processing, pasteurization, drying, mixing, and packaging systems.
• Material handling systems:
  Knowledge of conveyors, pneumatic systems, and robotic automation.
• Sanitary design principles:
  Ability to design equipment and facilities that are easy to clean and maintain.
• Work in compliance with all FPS administrative, health & safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline
• At least 5 years of experience in industrial food factory design and engineering
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, MS Office, and other popular design software
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Experience with potato, vegetable and protein industries is a plus
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Good communication in Dutch and English in combination with good collaboration skills
• Team player and able to build and maintain relationships for both internal and external stakeholders
• Traveling may be required depending on projects and client contact
