Job Description
The Teller I works in a TD Store location and plays a key role in delivering legendary customer experiences while processing everyday banking transactions with accuracy and efficiency while also educating customers on TD's products and services or referring them to a partner for specialized solutions.

• Executes TD's Brand promise by consistently delivering a Legendary Customer experience in the Store
• Performs customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan and safe deposit box payments efficiently
• Processes cash transactions such as cashing checks, verifying currency, balancing cash drawer, and night deposits with high accuracy
• Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and concerns using standard procedures and escalates to management as necessary
• Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating customer flow, welcoming customers and guiding appropriately
• Understands customer banking preferences and educates on self‑service/digital options that meet their needs
• Advocates for customers by conducting needs‑based conversations, offering financial & digital solutions, or referring to partners
• Makes sound decisions with timely problem resolution, escalating complex issues to management
• Ensures compliance with company guidelines and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act
• Verifies customer identities following authentication policies & procedures
• Balances cash drawers, ATMs, Teller Cash Dispensers and Cash Recyclers as necessary
• Adheres to safe deposit box procedures and guidelines
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate cash limits and securing cash at all times
• Ensures confidential customer information is securely stored throughout the day
• Follows dual control, security and audit measures to minimize loss
• Uses bank tools and processes to detect, address and prevent fraud
• Completes all required in‑classroom and online training by established due dates

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months of related work experience preferred; equivalent experience may be demonstrated through volunteering, education or military service
• Ability to work during operating hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays as scheduled
• Demonstrated customer service skills preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail‑oriented
• Ability to function in a fast‑paced and changing environment
• Excellent communication skills—concise, clear and consistent
