Head Level 3 and 4 and Xcel Silver Gymnastics Coach

A head Gymnastics Team Coach represents the YMCA as a team leader in gymnastics. The primary responsibility is to provide a safe, educational and enjoyable gymnastics class to participants of a variety of ages. Gymnastics Instruction will be based on the USA Gymnastics Competitive Development as well as Xcel Program

• Plan structured competitive team activities to stimulate the growth and development of participants utilizing YMCA values and the character development initiative
• Ability to teach both routines as well as skills and drills to Level 3 and 4 as well as Xcel Silver Team Members and know the routines as well
• Develops team workout plans to make practice run smooth and each child has the opportunity for advancement
• Intentionally communicates with parents/participants regarding the progress of the gymnast
• Effectively teaches USA Gymnastics skills with age appropriate safety and properly using demonstrations and equipment
• Maintains a safe environment; responsible for the supervision of their students within the class structure
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings. Willingness to attend YMCA required trainings throughout employment
• Help run conditioning exercises for competitive team
• Will have ability to teach preschool and progressive gymnastics classes to help build the future of the competitive program

Must have a minimum of 2 plus years of coaching USA Gymnastics Level 3 and 4 gymnasts
