Receptionist part‑time evenings at Covenant Living Communities & Services. This position is accountable for greeting residents, staff, and visitors in person or on the telephone in a manner that promotes Covenant Living in a positive, professional way.
Shift Information- Every other weekend – Saturday and Sunday.
- Able to pick up additional shifts if available.
- Holiday rotating schedule.
- Answer all telephone calls quickly and in a polite, personal, friendly manner; transfer calls appropriately and take messages when requested.
- Monitor emergency system, direct staff to emergent situations, call emergency personnel as needed, and complete resident checks as appropriate.
- Provide information to visitors and ensure they are directed to the appropriate individual; ensure visitors/contractors sign in and wear appropriate badges per policy.
- Keep the reception desk and lobby clean and organized after each shift.
- Facilitate transportation requests, coordinate timing of transportation, and place courtesy calls to residents to remind them of trips.
- Demonstrate use of all office equipment, monitor equipment, report supply needs, and notify the Lead Receptionist of issues.
- Sell postage stamps, receive packages and mail, sort mail, log packages, and inform residents/staff of pickups.
- Facilitate maintenance requests, input requests into the system, and communicate urgent or emergent situations to appropriate staff.
- Complete monthly charge sheets in accordance with procedure.
- Support other departments with clerical duties as assigned by the Administrative Services Coordinator.
- Assist the Lead Receptionist with clerical duties and maintenance of the reception area.
- Be available for holiday shift rotation.
- Replenish the coffee service area and keep supplies restocked and tidy.
- High school education or equivalent.
- One year of secretarial training or clerical experience.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Pleasant personality and telephone voice.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Maintains complete confidentiality when circulating general information.
- Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in and desire to work with older adults.
$16.06 – $19.27 per hour.
