Assistant Job Details
- Hours – Part‑Time: 6am‑2pm or 6am‑10am and every other weekend.
- Pay Range: $19 – $22 per hour.
- Location: Golden Valley, MN – Global Pointe Senior Living.

The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on care, both physical and emotional, as outlined in each resident’s service agreement. The Resident Assistant effectively communicates with residents, families, and notifies the case manager of any changes in condition or concerns, and assists in the dining room and in participating in activities and outings.
Resident AssistantJob Responsibilities
- Assist residents with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
- Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
- Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
- Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
- Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition such as attitude, appetite, weight, etc. to case manager.
- Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
- Complete all required documentation daily – service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
- Six months of experience in long‑term care or assisted living residence (preferred).
- Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aid or Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred).
- Ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in the resident’s best interests.
