Battery Operator on Second Shift at Ascentek
.
Responsible for shipping tasks, including small package shipping, order picking, forklift operation, battery charging, packaging, and processing of batteries. Maintain accurate inventory using the warehouse management system. Ensure safe and efficient vehicle and tool operation.
Key Responsibilities- Use forklift and/or pallet jacks to pick orders.
- Receive vendor receipts and transfers.
- Inspect materials for nonconformities.
- Use the warehouse management system.
- Operate hand jack or forklift to load trucks.
- Wrap pallets.
- Prepare hazardous materials for shipment.
- Pack cartons correctly and stack on pallets.
- Follow work instructions from supervisor, line staff, or Quality Manual.
- Report non-conformities to the supervisor.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years in a warehouse setting (recommended).
- High level of flexibility.
- Knowledge of quality management system and inspection processes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal English instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Forklift certification recommended (will certify within Lube Tech safety guidelines).
- Knowledge of WMS or ERP system preferred.
Must be able to lift and carry 25–60 lbs. occasionally and lift more than 60 lbs. intermittently. PPE will be used while filling forklift and pallet rider batteries. Requires speaking, hearing, standing, sitting, and ability to handle items. Occasional walking, bending, color distinction, repetitive movements. Work performed in a warehouse setting; noise moderate to loud; adaptable to climate changes.

Hourly rate: $20.00 – $25.00, subject to increase based on experience, qualifications, education, market benchmarks, and internal equity.
