This role is for a senior professional with advanced expertise in space and assortment planning. The analyst will take on leadership of complex projects, overseeing and managing timelines while ensuring successful execution. They will work closely with clients and senior stakeholders to align on strategic goals and ensure the overall project vision is met. In addition to leading projects, they will mentor and guide junior team members, offering insights and support to help drive team success.
The senior associate will leverage their extensive knowledge to continuously optimize processes, employ advanced tools and software, and proactively contribute to the development of best practices in the field. They will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing critical insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision‑making.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on client objectives, ensure best practices for space allocation and/or shelf placement, and deliver presentations and recommendations for assortment and space optimization solutions.
- Gather customer insights and competitive data to support business objectives; interpret analytical results, draw conclusions, and deliver clear, concise information across the business.
- Create and communicate merchandising presentations on strategies to enhance the consumer shopping experience; may support team members in retailer‑facing meetings to ensure objectives are met and notes are adjusted.
- Act as key business partner and advisor for the merchandising organization on all matters related to space planning/analytics and planogram/floorplan development.
- Maintain spatial information workflows and analytics, and recommend process optimizations.
- Lead or support a team (no direct reports), delegating workload and ensuring consistent project completion.

Education Level (Required):
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job‑related experience.
- 4-6 years of experience with planograms or floor plans.
- Experience with analysis in a professional setting.
- Experience in merchandising is a plus.
- Self‑directed work ethic and desire to succeed; thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize business requests.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
- Well‑organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Intellectually curious, eager to problem solve, and a quick learner.
- Strong work ethic with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Physical Requirements
Primarily a sedentary office role. Ability to sit for extended periods (≥66% of the time), hear a telephone, enter data on a computer, and lift up to 10 lbs.
