For over 20 years, Avid4 Adventure has empowered kids to live active outdoor lifestyles through our unique outdoor programming. We have camps based throughout Colorado;
Bay Area, California;
Portland, Oregon; and Bellevue, Washington.

• Work Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, typically 30–36 hours per week (position depending)
• Position Duration:
  Training begins 1–3 weeks before programming start; programs run from mid‑late May through early‑mid August, dependent on location and positions.

• Compensation:
  Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Starting hourly rates:
• Colorado – Instructors: $19.29/hour, Specialists: $19.75–$20.70/hour
• California – Instructors: $23.00/hour, Specialists: $23.55–$24.70/hour
• Oregon – Instructors: $19.25/hour, Specialists: $19.70–$20.65/hour
• Washington – Instructors: $19.82/hour, Specialists: $20.30–$21.30/hour

• With a co‑instructor, spend a week with a group of campers participating in and leading programs in mountain biking, outdoor rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and/or stand‑up paddle boarding, plus camp games.
• Risk management:
  
  responsible for safety and teaching campers how to recreate safely.
• Act as a role model, guiding appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service to campers, parents, and Avid families.
• If you have advanced skills in outdoor rock climbing, mountain biking, whitewater paddling, or survival skills, we’d love to consider you for an Activity Specialist role to lead both multisport and single sport programs.
• Most positions require eligibility to drive. Drivers transport campers using company vans with gear and flatbed trailers and must attend driver training and pass an assessment during staff orientation.

• Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp for all positions.
• Drivers: must be at least 20 years of age, have a 3‑year valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
• +1 year of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred.
• Experience in core sports is highly preferred, but not required for all positions (required for Specialists).
• Minimum Basic First Aid, CPR, and Mandatory Reporter certification by the start of camp.
• Specialized certifications eligible for end‑of‑season bonuses ($125–$400 per certification).
