Overview
Rice Lake West, a general contractor building water and wastewater treatment plants in Colorado, has an immediate full-time, long-term opening for Superintendents at sites along the Front Range between Pueblo, CO and Fort Collins, CO.
Primary FunctionThe superintendent is responsible for overseeing production as well as the scheduling and coordination of all on-site construction activities, safety programs, and quality initiatives to deliver projects on time and under budget.
Educational BackgroundCollege degree in construction related field preferred - High School diploma with ample work experience accepted.
Practical Knowledge NeededCivil Construction Means and Methods, Math and Complex Calculations, Critical Thinking as it applies to the breakdown and interpretation of Specifications and Plans, Critical Path Planning, Material Scheduling, Data Analysis, Organizational Methods, Writing Skills, Leadership and Communication.
Work ExperienceMinimum 5 years relevant trade experience on highway heavy, industrial, or commercial construction projects responsible for crew management, document review, and production - or - post-secondary study resulting in Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree with a minimum of 2 years experience running work.
Computer Skills AppliedMicrosoft Office Products, basic knowledge of scheduling software, Total Station.
TravelLong term assignment to jobsite location which could be further than a reasonable commute distance from home.
