Job Summary:

This entry‑level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, as well as industrial production facilities. You will perform construction inspections and assist with facility commissioning and startup services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform International Building Code (IBC) Chapter 17 special inspections and other construction inspections.
• Interpret contract documents, schematics, manufacturer instructions, codes, and client requirements.
• Conduct inspections for trenches, excavation, and backfill.
• Inspect reinforced and post‑tensioned concrete (formwork, reinforcement, placement).
• Inspect anchors, structural steel erection, masonry, and wood.
• Inspect installation of piping, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Support facility commissioning and startup, including installation verification, testing, and measurement of mechanical and electrical equipment for water and wastewater treatment processes (e.g., pumping systems, flocculation, aeration, filtration, disinfection, instrumentation).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering—or equivalent construction‑related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Practical experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at a computer and lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to work on uneven terrain.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in proximity to heavy equipment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $65,000–$85,000 (industry competitive based on skills and experience).
