Senior Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater Focus

DJ&A's Civil Engineering & Design (CE&D) Group is seeking a full-time Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressive experience leading complex water/wastewater projects. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong project delivery skills, and the ability to mentor and guide internal project teams from project concept through construction.
Preferredproject experience with:
- Water and wastewater treatment
- Pump stations and lift stations
- Water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- Engineering analyses, feasibility studies, and cost estimating
- Serve as the technical design lead on complex water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
- Independently perform and oversee detailed engineering analyses, hydraulic modeling, and calculations.
- Lead the preparation of design documents, plans, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of project deliverables.
- Develop engineering reports, feasibility studies, and construction cost estimates.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure project success.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Support business development by contributing technical expertise in proposals and client meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required).
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) (required).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic modeling software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods.
- Occasional travel to project sites, including outdoor environments and construction areas.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- $45-$55/hr. depending on experience.
