Base pay range

$85,598.00/yr - $/yr

Support the successful planning and execution of Financial Services (FS) work streams within the district's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation. Work in close partnership with FS subject matter experts, IT staff, and vendor partners to help define system requirements, validate business processes, support testing, and facilitate user training. Play a critical role in ensuring accurate configuration, data integrity, and compliance with district policies and employment regulations.

Contribute to change management efforts and provide ongoing support and feedback to enhance the FS system's functionality and user adoption.

This is a project based position aligned with the timeline of the ERP implementation initiative (estimated July 2027).

Essentials Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the planning and execution of Accounting, Finance, Budget and Planning-related modules and work streams for ERP project activities, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Finance subject matter experts (SMEs) to define and document requirements for Accounting, Payroll, Finance, Budget and Planning modules including general accounting, grants accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, strategic sourcing, procurement, expense and virtual card programs, and similar modules.
  • Support system configuration, business process mapping, and validation in coordination with project and vendor teams.
  • Assist in the development and execution of test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Facilitate training sessions, create instructional materials, and provide support to end users.
  • Track project status, identify risks or delays in Accounting and Finance work streams, and elevate issues as needed.
  • Contribute to data migration, cleansing, and validation activities related to accounting records.
  • Participate in change management planning and execution to support staff adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement feedback to Accounting, Finance and IT stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or finance in a large organization, public sector preferred. Project coordination or systems implementation experience preferred.

Education & Training

Bachelor's degree required. Preferred field of study in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of Accounting and Finance functional areas including organizational accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, procurement, strategic sourcing, etc. Familiarity with ERP systems (such as Workday, Oracle, SAP, UKG, or similar). Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting project needs.

Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar).

Span of Control

This position does not supervise other employees but may lead project activities, coordinate cross functional work groups, and provide direction to team members assigned to ERP‑related tasks.

Physical Demands

Ability to focus on objects at varying distances and distinguish between colors (with corrective lenses). Perform tasks that require manual dexterity, including operation of computers & small office equipment. Basic mobility and the ability to navigate the office environment safely. Ability to speak clearly, listen attentively (with assistance devices), and convey information accurately. May be required to give presentations to groups.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a semi-secured office building with a typical office environment and risk factors. Occasional travel to other administrative offices may be required. Work hours may occasionally extend beyond the standard workday during critical implementation phases or deadlines.
