Medical Records Specialist
Be the backbone of accurate patient care. As a Medical Records Specialist, you'll ensure patient information is organized, secure, and accessible—supporting providers and patients across CHV. This role is ideal for detail‑driven professionals who thrive in a fast‑paced, data‑heavy environment.
What You'll Do- Scan and file patient records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system across four CHV locations.
- Retrieve, review, and process incoming faxes—scan and drop them into shared drive folders.
- Manage record requests and handle all Release of Information (ROI) requests promptly and accurately.
- Serve as a key contact for primary care physicians referring patients to CHV.
- Perform high‑volume scanning and data entry with precision and speed.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in data entry or customer service
. - Strong typing skills and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- 6+ months working in an EMR system (e.g., receiving patient records, working within shared folders).
- Familiarity with ROI processes and ability to guide patients through them.
- Receptionist or administrative support experience in healthcare settings.
- Customer service excellence—empathetic, clear, and solution-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Comfort with 10‑key, phones, and multi‑line systems.
- Detail-driven, organized, and calm under pressure.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00–$19.00/hr.
