Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data, performs health teaching and counseling, and provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being.
Duties also include executing delegated medical functions, referring patients for further evaluation or treatment, reviewing and monitoring therapy and treatment plans, and documenting in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. The RN promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adheres to service behavior standards. Additional responsibilities may include floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs and being placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification.
- NIH certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- TNCC certification.
