The Opportunity: Are you ready to lead a program where "Active Treatment" is more than just a regulatory term? NOVA is seeking a high-energy Day Services Manager to oversee our Day Program Hub. This isn't an "office job"—it’s a leadership role designed for someone who loves logistics, staff development, and creating meaningful life experiences for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The Mission: You will be the architect of engagement for 48 residents. Reporting directly to the Program Director, you will lead a team to ensure every individual’s day is purposeful, fun, and goal-oriented. Whether it’s designing a new community volunteer partnership or auditing clinical data in Point Click Care , you are the driving force behind the quality of our day services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Design and implement a rotating "Life Skills Curriculum" that includes vocational training, health/wellness, and community integration.
  • Team Management: Supervise, coach, and schedule a dedicated Activities Assistants and Direct Support Staff.
  • Digital Quality Assurance: Utilize Point Click Care  (PCC) to monitor documentation in real-time, ensuring 100% compliance with ICF-IID standards.
  • Community Partnership: Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to expand volunteer and recreational opportunities for our residents.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with IDD (Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities).
  • Leadership: At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience in a healthcare or human services setting.

Technical & Professional

Skills:

  • Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of how to care for adults with intellectual disabilities as well as "Active Treatment" principles.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

    Experience with
    Point Click Care  (PCC) is a significant plus.
  • Logistics: Ability to manage complex schedules and transport logistics for multiple sites.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to represent the agency at interdisciplinary team meetings and state audits.

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to participate in the "Administrator-on-Call" (AOC) rotation.
  • A passion for advocacy and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
