Job Summary
The Automotive Service Manager at Mills Auto Group is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the service department, including customer service, operations, and profitability. This is a full-time position in the auto industry based in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. This is an individual contributor role with a base salary plus commission, and the total compensation can range from $110,000 to $150,000 per year, paid semi-monthly.

- Manage and supervise a team of service technicians and support staff
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and efficient service
- Monitor and improve the department's profitability by analyzing and controlling expenses
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service department revenue
- Review and approve service estimates and invoices to ensure accuracy and fair pricing
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Train and mentor service department employees to achieve individual and team goals
- Create and maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
- Handle customer escalations and resolve any service-related issues
- Stay updated on industry developments and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- At least 5 years of experience in an automotive service management role
- Proven record of success in managing a profitable service department
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance
- Familiarity with dealership software and systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
