The role involves assembling minor products or components within routine and highly repetitive assembly operations, typically at a workbench or conveyor line. Tasks include checking, sorting, packaging, labeling, pasting, sniping, tying, or trimming, either manually or by machine. The job also includes basic equipment adjustments, routine maintenance, cleaning, and possibly moving assemblies or machines, and floor cleaning. Candidates usually have 0-2 years of experience and work under close supervision.

Typical titles include General Labor, Machine Operator, Maker/Packer, Assembler, and Line Operator.
