RN Clinical Nurse – Operating Room

Summary

Full-time RN role in a 13-suite Operating Room offering a wide range of surgical specialties, including robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, ENT, gynecology, plastics, ophthalmology, and more. The unit features 2 DaVinci Robots and a hybrid vascular suite. Shifts are variable with call rotations. This role qualifies for up to a $30,000 incentive and emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.

• Deliver, supervise, and document patient care per provider orders and hospital policies.
• Utilize the nursing process to create and update individualized care plans.
• Provide care for patients undergoing complex surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, CSTs, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff and monitor performance.
• Assist teammates and provide direct care as needed.
• Participate in orientation, precepting, mentoring, and performance improvement activities.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain professionalism, support teamwork, and ensure a safe environment.
• Use PPE and standard precautions appropriately.
• Participate in continuing education and specialty certifications.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active NC RN license required.
• BLS required; department may require additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
• One year of RN experience preferred; OR experience strongly beneficial.
• Strong assessment, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable standing/walking for full shifts.
• Proficient with EMR/Epic and able to learn new systems.
