Job Details:

• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in emergency department setting

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital environment

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

• One year of nursing experience minimum required

• Assess patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects of care

• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans

• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs

• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for patient care evaluation

• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families

• Collaborate with patients and families to prepare and update care plans

• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex medical conditions

• Required certifications:
Licensed as Registered Nurse in North Carolina, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)

• Required education:
Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from accredited nursing school

BSN or MSN from accredited nursing school

• Participate in continuing education programs and professional development activities
