American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring prior cardiac cath lab experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

• Works in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures unit of a hospital setting
• Serves as primary/secondary circulator for diagnostic and interventional cardiology/vascular procedures
• Administers and monitors moderate sedation during procedures
• Provides pre/post procedural care, recovery, cardioversions, and loop recorder management
• Expected to float between Cath Lab and CVU
• Epic EMR experience required
• Schedule consists of 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00am-5:30pm
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• On-call responsibilities include late call and vascular call, with possible flex down due to case volume

• Active RN license in North Carolina (Standard or Compact)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Acute cardiac care experience and pre/post procedural experience preferred
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Epic EMR experience required

• Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional nursing standards
• Performs bedside point of care testing as needed for patient care plans
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Communicates relevant patient information to promote continuity of care
• Participates in unit performance improvement activities and promotes a safe patient care environment
