Title: Sanitation Truck Driver
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Experience operating a truck with a tri-axle and gross weight of 62,000 lbs.
Requirements: Must be able to bend, push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs. Must be able to climb ladders. Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a current valid Commercial Driver's License. Drug test required. Ability to operate power tools. Strong work ethic and ability to work well with others.
Reports To: Maintenance Director
Job Goal: Drive a sanitation truck daily to multiple school sites to empty trash containers, visit Wayne County Sanitary Landfill, and perform related duties independently. Inspect and maintain the vehicle, report issues, and assist with trash container delivery/removal as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skill in operating CDL vehicles over 62,000 lbs.
- Ability to operate the vehicle for up to eight hours.
- Ability to use various tools and instruments.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Physical strength for manual labor.
- Problem-solving and mechanical diagnosis skills.
Terms of Employment: 12-month work year, at-will employment, FLSA non-exempt.
Salary/Grade: $36,083.88 - $49,248.48 / Grade 59 / Plus Longevity
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated per Board and local policies.
