As a Data Engineer Integration & Automation, you’ll play a pivotal role in modernizing the digital backbone of our manufacturing operations in a fast‑paced, cleanroom‑based production setting. You’ll support the fabrication and testing of infrared sensors by improving how data is collected, processed, and used—from automating MATLAB tools and report generation to migrating legacy systems and connecting equipment to our internal network.

• Apply statistical and mathematical methods to quantify outcomes, analyze process data and improve yield.
• Migrate a File Maker‑based data collection system to a SQL Server‑based architecture.
• Automate MATLAB GUI workflows to increase data review throughput.
• Develop tools to automate generation of reports using numeric, image, and text‑based data.
• Upgrade and integrate existing production tooling with internal network infrastructure.
• Investigate and improve data generation practices to ensure consistency, validity, and relevance.
• Develop a viable path to an automated, machine‑learning environment.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand production workflows and data needs.
• Work in controlled areas, clean rooms, laboratories, etc.
• Develop fundamental understanding of crystal growth and epitaxial processes.

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in Data Analytics.

• SQL Server, File Maker, and database migration strategies.
• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash/Shell, Power Shell).
• Report generation tools (Python, MATLAB, Excel macros).
• Networking protocols and hardware/software integration.
• Data validation and quality assurance methodologies.
• Experience in production environment and multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.
• A motivated and self‑starting individual who interacts well in a team environment that includes both company colleagues and customers.
