Manufacturing Planner

** You will be a Manufacturing Planner for our Missiles and Fire Control team in Santa Barbara, CA  Our team is responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure the efficient production of high quality products  As a Manufacturing Planner, you will play a critical role in driving inventory optimization, minimizing costs, and meeting customer requirements

** What You Will Be Doing*
* As a Manufacturing Planner, your responsibilities will include:

- Perform the Make, Buy and/or Bill of Material  BOM  planning activities associated with Manufacturing Resource Planning  MRP  transactions

- Perform one or more multiple manufacturing activities within various manufacturing functions

- Maintain production systems integrity to drive inventory optimization to minimize cost

- Expedite and optimize material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements

- Coordinate with manufacturing and Operations Management to provide shop floor control on make parts, analyzes and controls production schedule and capacity requirements, executes the plan, provides timely status and expedites or works around plans to preserve schedule

- Coordinate with Supply Chain Stakeholders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine appropriate time phased plan for procured parts and executes processes to ensure deliverables meet production schedule requirements

- Maintain MRP parameters including lead times and lot sizes and coordinates with Engineering and Change Board Rep to make the associated changes to the BOM

* Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree

Experience with MRP/ERP  such as SAP

Experience with inventory control and demand planning

Skills:

* Experience in Apriso or other MES systems

Experience with SAP S4/HANA

Experience with leading large projects / initiatives and briefing to director level status
