Technician​/Production Specialist

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Production Technician for the B3/O60 Lab Complex facility in Goleta, California. The role focuses on packaging IR detectors for space, military, and commercial applications.

• Work with chemicals such as epoxies, adhesives, and solvents following strict safety and quality procedures.
• Use microscopy and small hand‑held tools to inspect and assemble small parts.
• Operate in an environmentally controlled cleanroom, sometimes for extended periods.
• Prepare and maintain equipment, push carts, and lift objects up to shoulder height as needed.
• Wear company‑provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Follow engineering instructions with exceptional attention to detail.

• Detailed work from engineering instructions.
• Comfortable working extended periods in a controlled environment.
• Proficiency with a microscope and precision hand tools (tweezers, screwdrivers, etc.).
• Basic to moderate computer proficiency.

• Experience working in a cleanroom and handling ESD‑sensitive parts.
• Knowledge of FOD and FOD reduction practices.
• Familiarity with Z‑scopes.
• Experience in wire bonding.

Minimum of four years’ experience in a similar role. Requires a high school diploma or GED, and fluency in English.

• Successful completion of online factory access training.
• Successful completion of approval skill training.

The contractor works in a collaborative team environment, training under senior technicians or process engineers, and must effectively communicate in English with all team members.
