Position OverviewAs a Personal Attendant, you will support individuals with special needs in daily living and therapeutic activities. You will work closely with a dedicated team in a fast‑paced, supportive environment and help plan and carry out treatment plans. The role offers flexible schedules, ongoing training, and opportunities for professional growth within the behavioral health field.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and bill payment.
- Provide personal hygiene care and medication administration.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community events such as the Special Olympics.
- Help clients locate and use public transportation.
- Perform additional activities as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
$18.00 per hour, with overnight asleep positions paid at $16.50/hour (effective January 1, 2026: $16.90/hour). The position is available part‑time (minimum 3 days) and full‑time.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid CDL and a clean driving record.
- Background checks and Livescan clearance required.
- Experience in the field preferred.
Dearly empathetic, collaborative, and enthusiastic with excellent written and verbal communication. The ideal applicant understands behavior-management theories, is a positive role model, and has a strong passion for helping adults with special needs. Ability to complete 30 hours of new‑hire orientation training is required.
