Heat Assistant

The Heat Treat Assistant performs electrical heat treatment processes, typically involving high temperatures to harden or soften materials. This role involves working on various components within the refining, petrochemical, power, and construction industries, handling small to medium electrical projects and other heat treatment methods.

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following safety standards, practices, and legal regulations, and alerting others to potential hazards.
• Perform assigned duties in alignment with TEAM’s Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
• Gather materials required for work orders as directed.
• Set up machinery and position work pieces for processing.
• Assist with machine adjustments and scrap removal.
• Help maintain raw material inventory.
• Conduct job walks with certified technicians and communicate requirements effectively.
• Interface with clients and colleagues professionally.
• Ensure timely completion of jobs according to schedule.
• Instruct assistants in equipment setup/tear-down; perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and equipment upkeep.
• Complete proper documentation and reports for services provided.
• Learn and adhere to heat treatment procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous relevant industry experience preferred.
• Travel requirements: 0% - 50%.

• Work may be indoors or outdoors in a plant environment, with exposure to climate changes.
• Interact with crew members, supervisors, and clients.
• Work around production machinery with high noise levels.
• Wear safety equipment as required.
• May involve travel to multiple job sites or out-of-town assignments.

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Walk, climb, and maneuver within plant environments, including elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
• Effective communication skills.
• Maintain focus and multitask efficiently.
• Wear safety gear as necessary.
