Manager Trainee role at McDonald's
This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer, responsible for hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. Job ResponsibilitiesManagers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. Some managers also lead Departments, managing assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks, following up, and reporting results. Responsibilities differ by Department: the Guest Service Department Manager ensures crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, sales promotions are executed, service staff are trained, and Front Counter McCafé and Drive‑Thru areas are organized.
The Kitchen Department Manager ensures quality food, speed, safety, cost control, and staff training on production procedures. The People Department Manager hires, trains, and schedules crew to meet sales and profit goals, ensuring crew are recognized and motivated.
Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment. We seek positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy a fast‑paced McDonald’s environment. Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
