First Grade Teacher – North Valley Academy
North Valley Academy is a public charter school serving grades K–8 in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. We are committed to providing a rich, well-balanced education with a rigorous focus on Mathematics, Language Arts, and Health & Wellness.
We are hiring a First Grade Teacher for the 2025–26 school year. We seek a dedicated educator to inspire young learners, fostering a nurturing, engaging classroom environment and collaborating with other educators and parents to ensure a positive educational journey for each child.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Monitor and evaluate students’ progress and provide feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ growth
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance educational programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification for the state
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment
- Capability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs
- Proficiency in using technology and educational tools to enhance learning
- Proven experience in teaching or assisting with first‑grade level students (Preferred)
