Description Do You Believe in the Power of Hope?

The Center of Hope for Behavioral Health, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing outpatient mental health counseling and community-based services. Our work is rooted in hope, healing, and recovery—and we are seeking a Licensed Therapist & Business Development Associate who believes that access to care grows through both compassionate clinical work and strong community relationships.

This role is for a licensed therapist who loves the therapy room and feels called to help expand access to services beyond it.

ABOUT

THE ROLE

This is a mission-driven, hybrid role combining direct clinical care with community engagement and business development. The Licensed Therapist & Business Development Associate maintains a small clinical caseload while actively supporting the growth, visibility, and partnerships of Center of Hope.

Your work directly impacts who finds us, how quickly they receive care, and how deeply our services reach the community. This role requires initiative, follow-through, and a hopeful belief that meaningful relationships create lasting access to healing.

Role Structure:
Approximately 60–70% Business Development and 30–40% Clinical Services

You must be someone who:
  • Believes deeply in the mission of hope, healing, and recovery
  • Loves providing therapy and values ethical, high-quality clinical care
  • Has initiative, takes ownership, and follows through consistently
  • Enjoys building relationships and representing a mission-driven organization
  • Is self-directed, organized, and comfortable managing a dynamic role
  • Aligns with our Core Values of Collaboration, Integrity, Excellence, and Respect
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Services
  • Maintain a small caseload providing trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Participate in supervision, consultation, and team meetings
  • Uphold ethical, legal, and professional standards of practice
  • Serve as a clinical representative of the Center's values and mission
Business Development & Community Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, referral sources, and stakeholders
  • Represent the Center at community meetings, events, and outreach opportunities
  • Support outreach efforts that increase access to care and program visibility
  • Collaborate with leadership on growth initiatives aligned with the agency’s mission
  • Track outreach efforts and contribute to measurable partnership and referral goals
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen community connections
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in Tennessee or license-eligible within six months
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability
  • Comfort engaging with community partners and representing the organization
  • Commitment to ethical practice and trauma-informed care

Experience in outreach, community engagement, or business development is preferred but not required. We value heart, initiative, and alignment with our mission above all.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

This role is ideal for a therapist who:

  • Wants meaningful clinical work and broader impact
  • Values variety, autonomy, and purpose in their role
  • Enjoys connecting people to resources and care
  • Thinks beyond individual sessions to systems of access
  • Wants to grow professionally while staying clinically grounded
WHO THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR

This role may not be a good fit for someone who:

  • Prefers a strictly clinical role with no outreach or external engagement
  • Is uncomfortable with relationship-building or community representation
  • Prefers highly structured, repetitive work with little variety
  • Is not interested in contributing to organizational growth
WHY JOIN OUR TEAM

At the Center of Hope for Behavioral Health, your work matters. In this role, you help expand access to care while remaining rooted in the heart of therapy.

You will be part of a mission-driven organization that values initiative, accountability, and compassion—where your voice is heard, your growth is supported, and your work directly impacts individuals, families, and communities.

If you are looking for more than a traditional therapy role and want to be part of work that creates lasting change, we invite you to join us.
