• Provides individualized, culture‑specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills.
• Participates in shift and bedside report.
• Participates and supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.

• Excellent customer service skills; basic computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors and health care team members.
• Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique and infection control best practices.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate; EKG training in selected units.
• Certifications/Licensure: CPR

• Experience:
  
  One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• Certifications/Licensure: CNA/LNA from the Arizona State Board of Nursing

Relies on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Works under immediate supervision.

Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
