The Safety Manager leads site safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and government regulations. This role develops and implements safety programs, conducts training, and fosters a proactive safety culture.

Some of the Responsibilities of the Safety Manager include:

• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Lead and manage safety initiatives, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
• Develop and implement safety policies and training programs.
• Monitor safety data trends and drive continuous improvements.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims and case management.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety meetings and training.
• Oversee safety documentation, reports, and compliance tracking.
• Support initiatives such as VPP, Contractor Safety Management, and Industrial First Aid.

Some of the Qualifications/Requirements of the Safety Manager include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
• 5+ years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial setting.
• SMS, GSP, ASP, or CSP certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
