MRI Tech

Overview

Under minimal supervision, performs complex diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

• Produces high quality images in a safe and efficient manner. Completes required exams; sends studies to reading station for radiologist review, completes all associated documentation.

• Education
  • Required:
    
    Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program.
  • Preferred:
    Associate degree or Bachelor's degree
• Experience
  • Required:
    
    1-3 years
• Certifications
  • Required:
    
    ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) and/or ARRT (R) and documentation of MRI training. Must obtain MRI Registry credential (ARRT or ARMRIT) within 1 year of hire. AHA BLS. State license if required
  • Preferred: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) Credential.
