Our Nuclear Division is growing, and we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee key projects, ensure successful execution, and drive operational excellence in compliance with nuclear industry standards.

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing and executing complex nuclear construction and engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with NRC regulations. This role plays a critical part in expanding our project footprint within the nuclear station, developing long-term partnerships, and ensuring seamless coordination across teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Project & Operations Management
  • Lead, plan, and execute nuclear construction and engineering projects from inception to completion
  • Develop and track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring projects stay on track and within scope
  • Ensure compliance with NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) regulations, as well as federal, state, and local safety standards
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify process improvements for future projects
Client & Stakeholder Relations
  • Work closely with nuclear station operators, contractors, and industry leaders to ensure smooth project execution
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed on project progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Identify opportunities for additional work within the nuclear sector by strengthening relationships and showcasing Bunney’s expertise
Safety & Compliance
  • Partner with the Safety Manager to implement and enforce strict safety protocols for all nuclear projects
  • Conduct regular safety audits and observations to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
  • Ensure all personnel receive proper training on nuclear-specific safety procedures and industry regulations
Cost & Contract Management
  • Oversee cost tracking, change orders, and financial control measures for each project
  • Lead contract drafting, review, and negotiations with clients and subcontractors to ensure clarity and alignment
  • Prepare Schedules of Values and support project controllers with invoicing and forecasting
Scheduling & Workforce Planning
  • Develop detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones align with nuclear construction timelines
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to allocate workforce resources effectively for upcoming projects
  • Anticipate staffing needs and adjust schedules proactively to prevent delays
Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and lead project team members, fostering growth in leadership, communication, and technical skills
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accountability among team members
  • Provide specialized training for employees on nuclear safety, risk management, and operational best practices
Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years in project management within nuclear, industrial construction, or power generation
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, leading teams, and solving operational challenges
  • Strong understanding of nuclear construction regulations, safety protocols, and compliance requirements
  • OSHA 30 required, PMP certification preferred, NRC compliance experience highly desired
  • Expertise in project scheduling, cost tracking, contract negotiation, and risk management
  • Strong ability to engage and collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
