To better support complex projects, Helix Electric has a need for a Welder Fabricator
. The successful candidate will be part of a production‑driven team, performing welding and fabrication tasks. The chosen candidate will have 1‑3 years of relevant experience.
- All welding & fabricating duties as assigned
- Prepare work area for installation of various equipment.
- Keep work area clean.
- Use tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Operate equipment only if trained and certified (e.g., powder‑activated tools, JLG lifts).
- Perform tasks in a professional manner.
- Secure and lock up equipment after use.
- Advise immediate supervisor of safety or job‑related problems.
- Work from all types of ladders (step ladders up to 14’, “A” frame ladders, all size extension ladders, and carry and relocate a 12’ step ladder by oneself).
- Be able to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts as needed.
- Complete other non‑welding & non‑fabrication duties as assigned.
- Work in all elements (depending on location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves always; respirator when required).
- Be able to work 8‑10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required.
- Perform essential functions including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, routinely lifting heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds, and pushing and pulling of objects.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
- Physical work comprises more than 70% of the job.
