Position SummaryA Machinist who assists in performing regular maintenance activities on production molds as directed to support operations and achieve the production schedule.
Minimum Education- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Completed Technical Degree Program in Tool & Die Mold Making, Mechanical Technology or Machining Technology
- Four years of servicing and repairing tooling/plastic injection molds.
- Experience in tooling repair and providing machining support in a manufacturing environment.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- Knowledge of machining, metalworking, and technical drawings.
- Strong technical knowledge and communication skills.
- Ability to operate tool room machinery and equipment.
- Good housekeeping and safety compliance.
- Maintain plastic injection molds and equipment in optimal condition.
- Perform preventative mold maintenance and mold repair activities.
- Accurately estimate mold repair times.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic repairs and troubleshooting related to tooling/molds.
- Execute machining requests to drawing, sketches or part samples when instructed.
- Operate all tool room machinery and equipment and complete final form, fit, and function of mold repairs.
- Assist with mold setups, perform mold removals, reinstall and prepare molds for production startup.
- Identify molding defects on production parts and recommend solutions.
- Assure proper inventory levels of required replacement parts for all tools.
- Follow all Lock Out/Tag Out rules and work instructions.
- Participate in root cause analysis, corrective actions and team problem solving activities.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in all assigned work areas.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all tool repairs and changes.
- Follow all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
- Read, use and interpret measuring devices, gauges and inspection tools.
- Perform other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
