Hello Fresh
The MRE Inventory Specialist is a critical role within the maintenance organization of Hello Fresh and its associated brands. This role is responsible for organizing and maintaining our maintenance parts area, ensuring a clean and orderly parts store, evaluating parts usage and purchasing parts to keep critical spares in stock, and assembling parts kits for planned jobs. Conducting cycle counts and periodic reviews of parts room metadata are essential to identify improvement opportunities and reduce the risk of costly downtime.
This position works closely with maintenance site, regional, and organizational leadership to keep maintenance operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate will immerse themselves in the Hello Fresh DNA and help drive our people and process to reflect our company principles.
Shift: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm
You will...- Establish, organize, and maintain order of the parts space.
- Order spare parts, receive stock into CMMS inventory, and place received stock into appropriate bin locations.
- Perform weekly cycle counts of a percentage of the storeroom, identify discrepancies, and report results to site or regional leaders as requested.
- Periodically review parts usage within your site(s) and adjust parts metadata, including minimum and maximum stock values, as needed.
- Work with site management to prepare parts budget forecasts for the following year.
- Collaborate with planners, schedulers, or site leaders to prepare parts kits for upcoming projects or planned maintenance.
- Manage the parts warranty process, ensuring that part failures under warranty are properly tagged and sent back to the manufacturer for replacement or repair.
- Establish and maintain 5S standards in the parts room and maintenance space to ensure all equipment, parts, and tools have designated space and the area is kept clean and safe.
- Assist the maintenance team with any parts needs during emergency situations.
- When a critical spare part is not in stock and is needed imminently, identify other network sites or vendors to obtain the part and facilitate purchase or transfer.
- Regularly meet with other Inventory Specialists in the network to share experiences, pain points, and best practices.
- Perform related duties such as training new MRE staff, assisting Business Operations leaders with CMMS usage, and helping launch new buildings as the company grows.
- 2+ years of inventory maintenance experience, or a similar role that integrates inventory fundamentals.
- High school diploma or equivalent education/experience.
- Proficient or advanced knowledge of CMMS systems, preferably FMX and/or Fiix.
- Proficiency in standard office administrative software including document, spreadsheet, and presentation suites (e.g., MS Office or Google Workspace).
- Ability to review data for accuracy, anomalies, and trends, and discuss findings with maintenance leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Agile thinking and quick problem‑remediation skills.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- Capacity to multitask when needed.
- High integrity and ethics, with excellent follow‑through.
