Dietary Aide - Palm Valley Post Acute (Food Services)
General PurposeThe dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
Essential DutiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Language SkillsAbility to read technical procedures, follow recipes, and communicate effectively with managers and staff.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Visual acuity for close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
Work EnvironmentWork usually occurs in a low to moderate noise environment. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
